WooCommerce Integration 

AffiliatePress integrates with WooCommerce for automatically tracking commissions when customers buy products through affiliate links. 

It gives you full control over how commissions are calculated, including options to exclude shipping or taxes, reject commissions for refunded orders and support advanced features through AffiliatePress add-ons.

Here we’ll show you how to integrate WooCommerce with AffiliatePress. 

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following installed and activated:

• WordPress with administrator access to your WordPress dashboard
• WooCommerce
• AffiliatePress (Any version, even the free).

If everything above is good to go, follow the steps below to learn how to activate WooCommerce in AffiliatePress. 

Set Up WooCommerce Integration in AffiliatePress 

To enable WooCommerce integration:

1. Go to AffiliatePress → Settings → Integrations.
2. Activate the WooCommerce integration.

Once activated, the following commission settings become available.

Exclude Shipping

If you don’t want shipping charges included when calculating affiliate commissions, simply toggle it on. 

For instance, in this case: let’s say an order contains:

• Product Total: $100
• Shipping: $15

With Exclude Shipping enabled, the commission is calculated using $100, not $115.

Exclude Taxes

This option is useful when you don’t want taxes included in the commission calculation. Allow us to explain it with an example: 

Suppose an order total is:

• Product Total: $100
• Tax: $18

The commission will be calculated on $100 rather than  $118. 

Reject Commission on Refunded, Trashed, or Failed Orders

This automatically rejects all unpaid affiliate commissions when an order is:

• Refunded
• Trashed (deleted)
• Marked as Failed

This helps prevent commissions from being paid on orders that were not successfully completed.

Note: This option only affects commissions that have not yet been paid.

Disable Commission on Upgrade Subscription:

This option prevents commissions from being generated when customers upgrade an existing subscription.

Important: This setting works only when the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin is installed and activated.

Disable Commissions for Individual Products

By default, AffiliatePress generates commissions for all WooCommerce products. Thus if you want to exclude a specific product from earning commissions: 

1. First of all, go to WordPress Admin → Products → All Products.
2. Click to edit the product for which you want to disable commissions.
3. On the product’s edit screen, scroll down to the Product Data box.
4. Click on the AffiliatePress Settings tab in the sidebar.
5. Check the “Disable Commissions” option and update the product.

Note: This option does not work when Commission Basis is set to Commission Per Order.

Coupon Code Add-on Support 

AffiliatePress allows you to track affiliates and generate commissions when customers purchase WooCommerce products using affiliate coupon codes.

To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Coupon Code Addon. Once activated, you can assign WooCommerce coupon codes to specific affiliates. When customers use an assigned affiliate coupon code during checkout:

• The coupon discount is applied to the order.
• The purchase is attributed to the assigned affiliate.
• AffiliatePress automatically generates the commission for that affiliate.

This makes it easier for affiliates to promote your products using discount codes while still receiving referral credit.

Product-wise Commission Add-on Support 

AffiliatePress allows you to set different commission rates for individual WooCommerce products.

To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Product-wise Commission Rate Addon. Once activated, you can assign custom commission rates to specific products while keeping your default commission settings for other products.

For example:

Product	Commission
Product A	20%
Product B	10%
Product C	Default Rate

Product-specific commission rates always override:

• Default commission
• Group commission
• Affiliate-specific commission

Products without a custom rate continue using the default commission settings.

Product Selection Add-on Support 

AffiliatePress allows you to control which WooCommerce products are eligible for affiliate commissions.

To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Product Selection Addon. Once activated, you can select specific WooCommerce products that should generate affiliate commissions. Products that are not selected will not generate commissions.

After installing the add-on:

• Go to the WooCommerce integration settings.
• Choose the products under Allowed Products.
• Save your settings.

Only the selected products will generate affiliate commissions.  All other WooCommerce products will be ignored.

Note: Products selected through this add-on override the Disable Commissions product setting and will still generate commissions.

How WooCommerce Commission Tracking Works

After the WooCommerce integration is activated:

• A visitor clicks an affiliate link.
• AffiliatePress tracks commission.
• The customer places a WooCommerce order.
• AffiliatePress validates the purchase.
• A commission is generated for the affiliate.
• If the order is refunded, failed, or deleted, the commission may be automatically rejected based on your settings.
