Restrict Content Pro Integration
AffiliatePress works with Restrict Content Pro to track affiliate-driven membership purchases and create commissions automatically. When someone visits your website through an affiliate link and signs up for a membership level, AffiliatePress attributes the purchase to the referring affiliate and generates a commission based on your commission settings.
If you run a membership website with one-time or recurring subscription plans, this integration lets you reward affiliates without manually tracking commissions.

Before You Begin
Before setting up the integration, make sure you have the following installed and activated:
- WordPress with administrator access
- Restrict Content Pro
- AffiliatePress
Set Up Restrict Content Pro Integration
To set up the Restrict Content Pro integration:
- Head over to AffiliatePress → Settings → Integrations.
- Scroll down until you find the Restrict Content Pro integration.
- Toggle on the integration and save your changes.
After turning on the integration, you can configure the following commission settings.
Reject Commission on Refunded, Deleted, Failed, or Abandoned Payments
Membership payments don’t always reach completion. A payment may be refunded, deleted, fail during checkout, or be abandoned before the purchase is completed.
Turning on this setting automatically rejects any unpaid commission linked to those payments. This makes sure commissions are generated only for completed membership purchases.
Note: This setting only affects commissions that have not yet been paid.
Disable Commission on Membership Upgrades
Members may upgrade from one membership level to another over time.
If you don’t want affiliates to receive another commission when an existing member upgrades their membership, turn on Disable Commission on Upgrade Plan. After that, upgrade purchases won’t generate a new affiliate commission.
Disable Commissions for Individual Membership Levels
By default, AffiliatePress generates commissions for every membership level created in Restrict Content Pro. If you’d like to exclude a particular membership level, you can disable commissions for that level without affecting the rest of your membership plans.
To do this:
- Head over to Restrict → Membership Levels.
- Open the membership level you want to edit.
- Scroll down to the AffiliatePress Commission Settings section.
- Turn on the Disable Commission option.
- Save your changes.
Note: This setting affects only the selected membership level.
Coupon Code Add-on Support
AffiliatePress allows you to track affiliate commissions when customers purchase Restrict Content Pro membership levels using affiliate discount codes.
To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Coupon Code Addon. Once activated, you can assign Restrict Content Pro discount codes to specific affiliates. When customers use an assigned affiliate discount code during checkout:
- The discount is applied to the membership purchase.
- The purchase is attributed to the assigned affiliate.
- AffiliatePress automatically generates the commission for that affiliate.
This makes it easier for affiliates to promote your products using discount codes while still receiving referral credit.

Product-wise Commission Add-on Support
AffiliatePress allows you to set different commission rates for individual Restrict Content Pro membership levels.
To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Product-wise Commission Rate Add-on. Once activated, you can assign custom commission rates to specific membership levels while keeping your default commission settings for all other membership levels.
For example:

| Bronze | 10% |
| Silver | 15% |
| Gold | 20% |
| Platinum | Default Rate |
Membership-level commission rates always override:
- Default commission
- Group commission
- Affiliate-specific commission

Product Selection Add-on
AffiliatePress allows you to control which Restrict Content Pro membership levels are eligible for affiliate commissions.
To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Product Selection Addon. Once activated, you can select specific membership levels that should generate affiliate commissions. Membership levels that are not selected will not generate commissions.
After installing the add-on:
- Go to the Restrict Content Pro integration settings.
- Choose the products under Allowed Products.
- Save your settings.
Note: Products selected through this add-on override the Disable Commissions product setting and will still generate commissions.

How Restrict Content Pro Commission Tracking Works
Once the integration is turned on:
- A visitor clicks an affiliate link.
- The visitor signs up for a membership level.
- Restrict Content Pro completes the membership purchase.
- AffiliatePress attributes the purchase to the referring affiliate.
- A commission is created based on your commission settings.
- If the payment is refunded, deleted, fails, or is abandoned, the commission may be rejected automatically depending on your settings.
