Coupon Code
The AffiliatePress Coupon Code Add-on introduces a flexible and powerful enhancement to the affiliate marketing system by enabling coupon-based tracking and rewards. With this add-on, administrators can generate and assign unique coupon codes to individual affiliate users.
These codes can be shared and used by customers across any link, without requiring the standard affiliate referral URL. When a customer applies an assigned coupon during checkout, the system automatically provides the predefined discount to the customer and attributes the commission to the corresponding affiliate.
This ensures accurate affiliate tracking, even in cases where traditional referral links are not used, ultimately enhancing conversion rates and providing affiliates with more versatile promotion tools.
Add-on Activation
To start using the Coupon Code add-on,
- Ensure that the AffiliatePress Pro plugin is active.
- Navigate to
AffiliatePress > Addons. - Activate the Coupon Code Add-on from the list.
Configuring Coupon Codes:
WordPress dashboard under AffiliatePress > Coupons. Displays all coupon codes assigned to their affiliate user.
Search Functionality
Affiliates can search their coupons by:
- Affiliate Name and Username: It searches the affiliate member.
- Coupon Status: Each coupon displays its current status, helping affiliates quickly identify which codes are usable.
Add/Edit Coupons at AffiliatePress
AffiliatePress allows you to add the coupon directly from the plugin, and you add and fetch the source and the coupon to link it with any affiliate user. In order to create the coupon, navigate to the Admin Panel > AffiliatePress > Coupons page and click on the Add New button available in the top right corner.
Required Fields:
- Affiliate User: Add the affiliate user’s name to whom you wish to link the coupon code.
- Source: At this dropdown, the source (plugin) where you have created coupons.
- Coupon Status: Select the status of the coupon from Active or Inactive.
- Search Coupon: Here you can search for the same coupon that you have created at the other source (plugin).
Commission Tracking via Coupon Code
When a customer purchases an item using an assigned coupon code, AffiliatePress automatically detects the coupon usage and generates a commission for the affiliate linked to that coupon. A corresponding visit entry is also created and associated with the same assigned affiliate.
If both an affiliate referral link and a coupon code are used during checkout, the commission is attributed to the affiliate assigned to the coupon code. In this case, coupon-based tracking takes priority over referral link tracking.
Once the purchase is completed using a coupon, a commission entry is created under AffiliatePress > Commissions, and this commission is marked as coupon-based. A coupon icon is displayed next to the commission amount to clearly indicate that the commission was generated through coupon usage.
Clicking the View Details action opens the full commission details, including coupon-related information. Inside the related visit details, the system displays:
- Used Coupon Code
- Coupon discount rate / discount amount
- Associated affiliate information
- Related purchase tracking data
This ensures full transparency of coupon-based tracking and clearly distinguishes coupon-driven commissions from referral link commissions.
Furthermore, we will check the functionality where WooCommerce coupons can be linked to affiliate users using the AffiliatePress Coupon Code add-on. Here’s an explanation of this feature within the WooCommerce coupon editing interface:
Assign Affiliate to WooCommerce Coupon
The AffiliatePress addon seamlessly integrates with WooCommerce > Marketing > Coupons, allowing administrators to assign coupon codes directly to affiliate users. This linkage enables affiliate tracking and commission attribution through coupon usage.
When editing or creating a coupon under WooCommerce > Marketing > Coupons, a new field titled “AffiliatePress Affiliate User” appears. Select the affiliate user here and save the changes.
Assign Affiliate to Easy Digital Downloads Coupon
The AffiliatePress addon seamlessly integrates with Easy Digital Downloads > Discounts, allowing administrators to assign coupon codes directly to affiliate users. This linkage enables affiliate tracking and commission attribution through coupon usage.
When editing or creating a coupon, under Easy Digital Downloads > Discounts a new field titled “AffiliatePress Affiliate User” appears.
Note: AffiliatePress considers the commission on the discounted price when EDD’s Discounts or Discounts Pro is used.
Assign Affiliate to ARMember Coupon
The AffiliatePress Coupon Code add-on seamlessly integrates with the ARMember > Coupon Management add-on. To use this, make sure the AffiliatePress Coupon Code Addon is activated along with the ARMember Coupon Management. Only then can the connection be established.
It allows administrators to assign coupon codes directly to affiliate users. This linkage enables affiliate tracking and commission attribution through coupon usage. When editing or creating a coupon under Coupon Management, a new field titled “AffiliatePress Affiliate User” appears; select the affiliate user, and when any referral uses this coupon to make a purchase, at that time the commission will be captured for the selected affiliate user.
Also, once the coupon is created at ARMember, then you can find it on AffiliatePress > Manage Coupons the page.
Assign Affiliate to MemberPress Coupon
The AffiliatePress addon seamlessly integrates with MemberPress coupons, allowing administrators to assign coupon codes directly to AffiliatePress affiliate users. This integration enables accurate affiliate tracking, commission attribution, and visit logging through coupon usage.
When creating or editing a coupon under MemberPress → Coupons, a new section called “AffiliatePress Coupon Settings” is displayed.
In this section:
- Administrators can search and select an AffiliatePress affiliate user.
- The affiliate search field supports searching by affiliate name
- After selecting the affiliate and saving the coupon, the coupon becomes linked to that affiliate account.
This allows a MemberPress coupon code to work as an affiliate tracking method without requiring a traditional referral URL.
Once a coupon is assigned:
- The coupon is automatically added to the affiliate’s coupon list inside
AffiliatePress > Coupons. - Affiliates can view all assigned coupon codes from their Affiliate Panel.
Assign Affiliate to LifterLMS Coupon
The AffiliatePress addon integrates seamlessly with LifterLMS coupons, enabling administrators to assign affiliate users directly to coupon codes. This allows precise affiliate tracking, commission attribution, and visit logging based on coupon usage instead of referral links.
When creating or editing a coupon under LifterLMS → Orders → Coupons, a new tab called “AffiliatePress” is displayed. This tab contains a field labeled AffiliatePress Affiliate User. In this field:
- Administrators can search and select an AffiliatePress affiliate user.
- Search affiliates by name.
- After selecting an affiliate and saving the coupon, the coupon becomes linked to that affiliate account.
Once an affiliate user is assigned to a coupon, the coupon automatically becomes an affiliate tracking method. This means the system will use coupon usage as a way to identify and attribute affiliate referrals, without requiring the affiliate to share a referral URL.

Removing an Affiliate from a Coupon
If the affiliate is removed from the AffiliatePress tab and the coupon is saved:
- The affiliate association is removed from the coupon.
- The coupon is also removed from the affiliate’s coupon list in AffiliatePress.
- Tracking and attribution for that coupon are disabled immediately.
Assign an affiliate to Paid Memberships Pro coupons.
The AffiliatePress addon integrates seamlessly with Paid Memberships Pro discount codes, enabling administrators to assign affiliate users directly to discount codes. This allows precise affiliate tracking, commission attribution, and visit logging based on discount code usage instead of referral links.
When creating or editing a discount code in Memberships > Settings > Discount Codes a new field, AffiliatePress Affiliate User is displayed. In this field:
- Administrators can search and select an AffiliatePress affiliate user
- Affiliates are searchable by name
- After selecting an affiliate and saving the discount code, the code becomes linked to that affiliate account
Once an affiliate user is assigned to a discount code:
- The discount code automatically becomes an affiliate tracking method
- The system uses discount code usage to identify and attribute affiliate referrals
- Referral tracking works without requiring affiliate referral links
This allows affiliates to promote simple discount codes instead of URLs while still earning commissions.

Removing an Affiliate from a Discount Code
If the affiliate is removed from the AffiliatePress field and the discount code is saved:
- The affiliate association is removed from the discount code

- Tracking and attribution for that discount code are disabled immediately
Assign Affiliate to Restrict Content Pro Coupon
The AffiliatePress addon integrates seamlessly with Restrict Content Pro discount codes, allowing administrators to assign affiliate users directly to coupon codes. This enables accurate affiliate tracking, commission attribution, and visit logging based on coupon usage instead of referral links.
Note: Restrict Content Support for Coupon is available with their Pro version only.
Affiliate Assignment to Discount Codes
When creating or editing a discount code, Restrict > Discount Codes a new field appears “AffiliatePress Affiliate User.” In this field:
- Administrators can search and select an AffiliatePress affiliate user
- Affiliates are searchable by name
- After selecting an affiliate and saving the discount code, the coupon becomes linked to that affiliate account
Once linked:
- The discount code automatically becomes an affiliate tracking method
- Affiliate identified automatically based on coupon during checkout.
- Referral tracking works without requiring affiliate referral links
This allows affiliates to promote simple discount codes instead of URLs while still earning commissions.
Affiliate Coupon Visibility
Once a discount code is assigned to an affiliate:
- The discount code is automatically added to the affiliate’s coupon list inside
AffiliatePress > Coupon - Affiliates can view all assigned discount codes from their Affiliate Panel
Removing an Affiliate from a Discount Code
If the affiliate is removed from the AffiliatePress Affiliate User field and the discount code is saved:
- The affiliate association is removed from the discount code
- The discount code is removed from the affiliate’s coupon list in AffiliatePress

Assign Affiliate to Paid Member Subscriptions Coupon
The AffiliatePress addon integrates seamlessly with the Paid Member Subscriptions plugin, enabling administrators to assign affiliate users directly to subscription plans. This allows accurate affiliate tracking, commission attribution, and visit logging based on subscription purchases instead of referral links.
When creating or editing a Discount Code in Paid Member Subscriptions > Discount Codes, a new field, AffiliatePress Affiliate User, is displayed. In this field:
- Administrators can search and select an AffiliatePress affiliate user
- Affiliates are searchable by name.
- After selecting an affiliate and saving the Discount, the coupon becomes linked to that affiliate account
Once an affiliate user is assigned to a discount:
- The Discount automatically becomes an affiliate tracking method
- The system attributes referral commissions based on subscription purchase
- Tracking works without requiring affiliate referral links
This allows affiliates to promote subscription discounts directly using simple membership offers while still earning commissions.
Affiliate Discount Code Visibility
Once a discount code is assigned to an affiliate:
- The discount code is automatically added to the affiliate’s coupon list inside
