Simple Membership Integration

AffiliatePress integrates with Simple Membership to track affiliate commissions whenever a visitor purchases a membership through your website.

If you use Simple Membership to sell free or paid membership plans, this integration automatically attributes membership purchases to the affiliate who referred the customer. Once the purchase is completed, AffiliatePress creates the commission using your default, group, or affiliate-specific commission settings.

Here we’ll show you how to integrate the Simple Membership plugin with your AffiliatePress system. 

Before You Begin

Before setting up the integration, make sure you have the following installed and activated:

• WordPress with administrator access
• Simple Membership
• AffiliatePress

Set Up Simple Membership Integration

To turn on the Simple Membership integration:

1. Head over to AffiliatePress → Settings → Integrations.
2. Scroll down until you find the Simple Membership integration.
3. Toggle on the integration and save your changes.

Disable Commissions for Individual Membership Plans

By default, every membership level created in Simple Membership generates affiliate commissions.

If you have a membership plan that shouldn’t reward affiliates. Let’s say, you have a free membership, an internal membership, or a promotional plan. Now you can disable commissions for that plan without affecting your other membership levels.

To do this:

1. Head over to WP Membership → Membership Levels.
2. Open the membership level you want to edit.
3. Scroll down to the AffiliatePress Settings section.
4. Turn on the Disable Commissions option.
5. Click Save Membership Level.

Note: This option does not work when Commission Basis is set to Commission Per Order.

Product-wise Commission Add-on Support

The Product-wise Commission Rate add-on lets you assign different commission rates to individual membership levels.

For example:

Membership Level	Commission
Basic	10%
Premium	20%
VIP	30%
Student	Default Rate

Membership-specific commission rates always override:

• Default commission
• Group commission
• Affiliate-specific commission

Product Selection Add-on

AffiliatePress allows you to control which membership plans will be eligible for affiliate commissions.

To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Product Selection Addon. Once activated, you can select a specific membership plan that should generate affiliate commissions. 

After installing the add-on:

• Go to the Simple Membership integration settings.
• Choose the products under Allowed Products.
• Save your settings.

Note: Products selected through this add-on override the Disable Commissions product setting and will still generate commissions.

How Simple Membership Commission Tracking Works

After turning on the Simple Membership integration:

• A visitor clicks an affiliate link.
• The visitor purchases a membership plan.
• Simple Membership completes the purchase.
• AffiliatePress attributes the purchase to the referring affiliate.
• A commission is created based on your commission settings.
