The Recurring Commissions Addon in AffiliatePress allows affiliates to earn commissions not just on the initial sale but also on subsequent recurring payments. This is especially valuable for subscription-based products or services where customers are billed repeatedly over time.

You can enable the same by heading over to : AffiliatePress > Commissions > Recurring Commissions Settings.

Addon Activation

To start using the Recurring Commission Addon:

Ensure that the AffiliatePress Pro plugin is active.
Navigate to AffiliatePress > Addons.
Activate the Recurring Commission Addon from the list.

How it works

First Payment
- The initial customer payment follows the default commission rate set in the general Commission Settings.
Recurring Payments
- If Recurring Commissions are enabled, a separate Recurring Commission Rate is applied to each recurring payment.
- This process continues until the defined Recurrence Limit is reached.
- If the Recurrence Limit is set to Unlimited, the affiliate will receive commissions on all recurring payments without any cap.

Recurring Commissions Settings

Setting	Description
Enable Recurring Commissions	Enable or disable the recurring commission feature.
Recurring Commission Rate	The commission rate (in %) for each recurring payment.
Recurrence Limit	The number of times recurring commission will be given. Example: If set to 5, recurring commission is given only on the first 5 recurring payments.

Group-Level Recurring Commissions

You can assign specific recurring commission rates and recurrence limits to affiliate groups, overriding the default global settings.

You can enable this by heading over : AffiliatePress > Groups > Add/Edit Group.

Field	Description
Enable Recurring Commission Rates	Activates recurring commission functionality for the selected group.
Commission Rate	Define the recurring commission rate as a percentage (e.g., 30%) or a fixed amount (e.g., $20).
Recurrence Limit	Set the maximum number of times recurring commissions are paid. Can be a specific number or “Unlimited”.

Example: Default Recurring Rate: 30%, Group A: 40%, Unlimited

If an affiliate is part of Group A, they will receive 40% recurring commission for every payment, overriding the default 30%.

Affiliate-Level Recurring Commissions

You can also set individual recurring commission rules for each affiliate, which take priority over both group and default settings.

Navigation Path: AffiliatePress > Affiliates > Add/Edit Affiliate.

Field	Description
Enable Recurring Commission Rates	Toggle this option to “Yes” to activate recurring commissions for this Affiliate. Once enabled, the Affiliate-specific recurring settings will override the Default settings and Group Settings.
Commission Rates	Define the rate of commission for recurring payments. You can choose a percentage (%) or a fixed amount ($).
Recurrence Limit	Set how many times a recurring commission should be awarded for this Affiliate. Options include numerical values or Unlimited for indefinite payouts.

Example:

Default Recurring Rate: 30%
Group Rate: 40%
Affiliate Rate: 50%, Unlimited

In this case, the affiliate will receive 50% commission for every recurring payment. The affiliate-level rate overrides both the group and default levels.

The Recurring Commission Rate set directly for an individual affiliate holds the highest priority in the commission calculation. When a recurring commission is added, the system first checks if a custom rate is defined for the specific affiliate. If it exists, this rate will override both the group-level recurring rate and the default recurring rate.

Product-Level Recurring Commissions

AffiliatePress supports product-specific recurring commission rates through supported integrations. This means you can set a recurring rate for each product, and it will override other commission settings for that product.

This applies when a recurring product is purchased, and a rate is configured directly within the product settings.
