AWeber Integration

The AWeber Integration allows you to automatically add new affiliate registrations to your AWeber email list. So you can easily welcome new affiliates, send onboarding emails, newsletters, promotions and important updates without manually exporting contacts.  

Here we’ll show you how to integrate AffiliatePress with AWeber integration. 

Before You Begin

AWeber is an email marketing platform that lets you automatically send welcome emails, newsletters, and other updates to your affiliates. 

If you’re configuring AWeber integration with AffiliatePress for the first time, make sure your website meets the following requirements listed below for a smooth integration: 

• An AWeber account
• AffiliatePress AWeber Add-on; included in every AffiliatePress premium plan
• Permission to create lists
• An Affiliate Registration page

If everything above is set, you’re ready to integrate AWeber with your AffiliatePress system. Just follow the steps below. 

How to Integrate The AWeber Add-on in AffiliatePress 

1. Activate The AWeber Add-on

To activate the AWeber Add-on, you can head over to AffiliatePress → Add-ons. Scroll down until you find the AWeber Integration add-on.  Just click on the “Activate” button for activating this add-on. 

From here, you can click on Configure. This will lead you to the AffiliatePress → Settings → Opt-ins panel. Inside the Opt-ins panel, if you have multiple opt-ins activated, select the AWeber tab from the top bar.

2. Connect Your AWeber Account

First of all, you have to connect AffiliatePress with your AWeber account. 

You can enter the Authorization code, and click on the “Authorize” to fetch the lists from your AWeber account.

For those who don’t have the authorization code, follow the below steps: 

Getting Your AWeber API Key

Click on the “Get Code” next to the Authorization Code Field. This will open up a new popup window over AffiliatePress where you can just log in with your user name and password. 

As discussed earlier, you need an AWeber account to get the authorization code. If you don’t have one yet, create one right now from here. 

Moving forward, after logging in to your AWeber account, you’ll get an Authorization Code immediately. 

Copy the code, close the window, and paste the Authorization Code inside the field. 

After clicking Authorize, more configuration options will show up with populating all existing AWeber lists. If the connection is successful, your AWeber lists will appear in the List ID dropdown along with additional settings. 

3. Select an List ID 

After authorizing your AWeber account, all your existing AWeber list will be there under the List ID field. From here, select the AWeber list where new affiliate registrations should be added.

After you select a list, all of its fields will be listed below under Map more fields with AWeber section. 

4. Customize the Newsletter Checkbox

You can also customize the default Subscribe to Newsletter Label  from here, which will be shown on your affiliate registration form. 

After saving these changes, go to the AffiliatePress affiliate registration form, and your customised label will be shown. 

The user/visitor must tick this Subscribe to Newsletter checkout to register. This keeps your signup form compliant with email marketing consent requirements because affiliates explicitly agree to receive emails before being added to your mailing list.

5. Map Affiliate Registration Fields

Lastly, make sure to Map each field to its proper field from your Affiliate Registration Page such as: 

• Email 
• First Name 
• Last Name 
• Tags 
• Phone number 
• and more. 

Field mapping tells AffiliatePress which registration field should be sent to each corresponding AWeber field. 

For example: 

• Affiliate First Name →  AWeber First Name
• Affiliate Email → AWeber Email

After correctly mapping all AWeber fields with AffiliatePress fields, remember to Save all the changes. 

If you misconfigure anything, you can also Delete Configuration. If your existing field is not showing up, or you updated your AWeber list just now, click on the Refresh List button right next to “Map more fields with the AWeber” section. 

Debug Logs for Aweber

AffiliatePress does allow you to track the debug log for the AWeber Integration if in-case you ran into any troubleshooting. If you experience any issues while connecting AffiliatePress with AWeber or syncing affiliate data, you can check the AWeber Debug Logs from AffiliatePress → Settings → Debug Log.
