Ultimate Membership Pro Integration
AffiliatePress integrates with Ultimate Membership Pro to automatically track commissions whenever a customer purchases a membership plan through your website.
If you use Ultimate Membership Pro to sell paid memberships or subscription plans, AffiliatePress attributes completed membership purchases to the affiliate who referred the customer.
Here we’ll show you how to integrate Ultimate Membership Pro with AffiliatePress.
Before You Begin
Before setting up the integration, make sure you have the following installed and activated:
- WordPress with administrator access
- Ultimate Membership Pro
- AffiliatePress
Set Up Ultimate Membership Pro Integration
To turn on the Ultimate Membership Pro integration:
- Head over to AffiliatePress → Settings → Integrations.
- Scroll down until you find the Ultimate Membership Pro integration.
- Toggle on the integration and save your changes.
After turning on the integration, you can configure the following commission settings.
Exclude Taxes
By default, taxes are included in the total amount used to calculate affiliate commissions.
If you don’t want affiliates earning commissions on the tax amount, turn on Exclude Taxes. AffiliatePress then calculates commissions using only the membership price.
For example, if a membership purchase contains:
- Membership Price: $100
- Tax: $12
The commission is calculated using $100 instead of $112.
Reject Commission on Refunded or Failed Payments
Sometimes a membership purchase doesn’t reach completion. A payment may fail during checkout or be refunded after the purchase has been completed.
Turning on this setting automatically rejects any unpaid commission associated with those payments. This ensures commissions are generated only for successful membership purchases.
Note: This option only affects commissions that have not yet been paid.
Disable Commissions for Individual Membership Plans
By default, AffiliatePress generates commissions for every membership plan created in Ultimate Membership Pro.
If you don’t want a particular membership plan to generate affiliate commissions, you can disable commissions for that plan without affecting your other membership levels.
For example, you may want to exclude a free membership, an employee-only plan, or a promotional membership from your affiliate program.
To do this:
- Head over to Ultimate Membership Pro → Memberships.
- Open the membership plan you want to edit.
- Scroll down to the AffiliatePress Settings section under Membership.
- Turn on the Disable Commissions option.
- Click Update to save your changes.
Note: This option does not work when Commission Basis is set to Commission Per Order.
Note: AffiliatePress settings are available only with the Ultimate Membership Pro version.
Product-wise Commission Add-on Support
AffiliatePress allows you to set different commission rates for individual membership plans.
To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Product-wise Commission Rate Add-on. After its activated, you can assign custom commission rates to specific membership plans while keeping your default commission settings for other membership plans.
For example:

| Basic Plan | 10% |
| Premium Plan | 20% |
| Lifetime Plan | 30% |
| Student Plan | Default Rate |
Membership-specific commission rates always override:
- Default commission
- Group commission
- Affiliate-specific commission
Membership plans without a custom commission rate continue using the default commission settings.

Product Selection Add-on
AffiliatePress allows you to control which membership plans will be eligible for affiliate commissions.
To use this feature, you must install and activate the AffiliatePress Product Selection Addon. Once activated, you can select a specific membership plan that should generate affiliate commissions.
After installing the add-on:
- Go to the Ultimate Membership Pro integration settings.
- Choose the products under Allowed Products.
- Save your settings.
Note: Products selected through this add-on override the Disable Commissions product setting and will still generate commissions.

How Ultimate Membership Pro Commission Tracking Works
After turning on the Ultimate Membership Pro integration:
- A visitor clicks an affiliate link.
- The visitor purchases a membership plan.
- Ultimate Membership Pro processes the purchase.
- AffiliatePress attributes the purchase to the referring affiliate.
- A commission is created based on your commission settings.
- If the payment is refunded or fails, the commission may be automatically rejected depending on your settings.
