Email Notifications
Managing email notifications in AffiliatePress is simple and allows you to customize the messages sent to affiliates and administrators. To manage email notifications:
- In the WordPress admin panel, click on the AffiliatePress menu in the sidebar.
- Navigate to the Notifications page to configure the notifications.
To Affiliate User: You can enable or disable notifications to be sent to your affiliates, and edit the notification content for affiliate users.
To Administrator: You can enable or disable notifications to be sent to the admin and edit the notification content for the admin user.
Notifications for Affiliate Users
AffiliatePress lets you enable or disable notifications for affiliate users, and you can easily edit the notification content using the Text Editor.
Available Notifications for Affiliates:
1. Affiliate Account Pending
This email is sent immediately after an affiliate user registers with a pending status or when an affiliate’s status changes to pending.
You can add email placeholders by clicking on the subject and message, then selecting the appropriate placeholder to insert it into the content.
2. Affiliate Account Approved
This email notification is sent once an affiliate’s account is approved or when their status changes to approved.
- Similarly, you can insert placeholders in the subject and message by clicking and selecting them.
3. Affiliate Account Rejected
This email notification will be sent immediately after an affiliate user’s status changes to rejected. To add an email placeholder, click on the email subject and message, then select the placeholder to insert it into the email content.
4. Commission Registered
This email notification will be sent immediately after a commission is created. To add an email placeholder, click on the email subject and message, then select the placeholder to insert it into the email content.
5. Commission Approved
This email notification will be sent immediately after a commission approved. To add an email placeholder, click on the email subject and message, then select the placeholder to insert it into the email content.
6. Affiliate Payment Paid
This email notification will be sent immediately after an affiliate user payment paid. To add an email placeholder, click on the email subject and message, then select the placeholder to insert it into the email content.
7. Affiliate Payment Failed
This email notification will be sent immediately after an affiliate user payment failed. To add an email placeholder, click on the email subject and message, then select the placeholder to insert it into the email content.
To Administrator:
When sending notifications to affiliate users, you also have the option to send notifications to the administrator. To enable this:
- Click on the “To Administrator” from the top bar and simply enable the “Send Notification” button in the settings.
- If you don’t want the admin to be notified, you can disable this option.
As with affiliate notifications, you can customize the email content for administrator notifications using the Text Editor.
How to set the mail server?
In order to send these above provided mails AffiliatePress allows setting a mail server as per your choice, in order to configure a server navigate to the Admin Panel > AffiliatePress > Settings > Email Settings
. Refer to the detailed guide in order to set up the mail server.
Debugging Emails
AffiliatePress allows you to debug emails, through which you can check whether the emails are being sent out to the members or not. In order to enable the logs, go to the Admin Panel > AffiliatePress > Settings > Debug Log
. On this page, enable the option ‘Email Notification Logs’. Further, you can track the emails are being sent out or not.
