MailChimp Integration

Set Up Mailchimp Integration with AffiliatePress to connect your affiliate leads directly to your Mailchimp audience with ease. Here’s how you can set up the integration.

Set Up Mailchimp Integration Addon

To begin, go to AffiliatePress > Addons and activate the Mailchimp Addon from the list.

Getting Your Mailchimp API Key

Mailchimp requires an API key to connect. You’ll need to fetch it manually from your Mailchimp account:

• Log into your Mailchimp account.
• Click your profile name in the top-right corner and choose Account.
• Navigate to the Extra’s dropdown menu and select API keys.
• You can either copy an existing key or click Create A Key to generate a new one.
• Once created, copy the API key to use it inside AffiliatePress.

Configuring Mailchimp in AffiliatePress

After you’ve copied the API key, head over to AffiliatePress > Settings > Opt-Ins and select the Mailchimp tab.

Paste the API key into the provided field and click “Verify”. This will automatically pull in your Mailchimp audience lists.

Selecting Audience and Mapping Fields

Once verified, choose the List ID you’d like to connect from the dropdown.

AffiliatePress will display the available Mailchimp fields for that list. You can then map these fields to the ones collected during affiliate sign-up, such as Email, First Name, etc.

Setting Up the Opt-In Checkbox

• You can set a custom label for the Mailchimp Subscription Checkbox.
• This checkbox appears on the front-end signup form.
• Only when this checkbox is selected by the user will their data be sent to the connected Mailchimp list.

Enabling Double Opt-Ins for Mailchimp

AffiliatePress also provides you the option to enable the Double Opt-in feature. If you want to enable the double opt-in method for Mailchimp, then select the “Enable double opt-in” checkbox.

Double opt-in in Mailchimp is a two-step process where a potential subscriber first fills out and submits a signup form, then receives a confirmation email or text message with a link to verify their subscription. Once they click the link, they are added to your Mailchimp audience as a subscribed contact.

Debug Logs for MailChimp

AffiliatePress does allow admin to track the debug log for the Integrations to the email marketing tool. In order to enable the logs, you can navigate to the AffiliatePress > Settings > Debug Log page.
